Amid huge expectations and awaiting period, Director SS Rajamouli informed that the RRR release date is again postponed from Jan 7th since there’s a spike in the number of covid cases and theatres are being closed because of that. The film starring NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Ajay Devgan is the most anticipated PAN India film audience is waiting for.

The film’s release was postponed multiple times before. It was first scheduled to release on 30th July 2021. However, in February 2021, Rajamouli said it was postponed to 8th January 2022, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival. But again due to the restrictions due to covid, Rajamouli announced on 25th January that the release date of the film will be on 22nd March 2022. In early October the date was again rescheduled to 7th Jan 2022. On 1st January 2022, the team made an official announcement that the release date was postponed due to the rise of Covid and Omicron variant cases in India.
