The Cursed Tunnel: A Real Horror Incident from India January 2025

A Mysterious Tragedy Unfolds

In January 2025, a chilling incident in Himachal Pradesh shook the nation. Deep in the mountains, the newly constructed Brahmakund Tunnel, meant to ease travel between Shimla and Kullu, became the center of an unexplained horror. What started as a routine construction project soon turned into a nightmare for the workers and locals.

The tunnel, which was supposed to open in December 2024, faced multiple delays due to unexpected landslides, machinery failures, and accidents. Engineers blamed it on unstable terrain, but the villagers warned them about something far worse.

“This land is cursed,” an elderly villager, Devi Prasad, had warned. “Decades ago, a temple stood here. You should not have disturbed the sleeping spirits.”

Most dismissed it as superstition. But the events of January 2025 proved otherwise.

The Vanishing Workers

On the night of January 7, 2025, a group of five workers entered the tunnel for an inspection. The lights inside flickered strangely, but they moved forward, laughing off their nervousness.

However, only one of them—Sandeep Kumar—returned, screaming in terror.

The rescue team rushed inside, expecting an accident or collapse, but what they found defied logic. There were no bodies, no blood, no signs of struggle. The tools and helmets of the missing men lay neatly arranged on the tunnel floor. It was as if they had vanished into thin air.

Sandeep was unable to speak for hours. When he finally did, his words sent chills down everyone’s spine:

“We heard whispers… saw shadows moving on the walls. Then… something pulled them into the darkness. I ran… I ran before it could take me too.”

An Investigation Gone Wrong

The police were called, assuming it to be a case of missing persons or a freak accident. But what happened next was beyond belief.

On January 10, 2025, a police officer and two engineers entered the tunnel for an official investigation. Equipped with powerful torches and cameras, they planned to record everything.

Fifteen minutes in, radio contact was lost. The team outside tried calling, but only static came through. Then, a loud scream echoed from within the tunnel.

The officer’s body was later found near the tunnel’s exit—his face frozen in terror, mouth wide open as if he had died screaming. His eyes were missing. The two engineers were never found.

A Haunting History

With rising fear and pressure, authorities ordered the tunnel’s closure. The government cited “structural issues,” but locals knew better.

Elderly villagers revealed a horrifying past—before the British rule, a Tantric priest had lived near the site of the tunnel. Accused of practicing black magic, he was burned alive by the locals. Before his death, he cursed the land, saying, “Whoever disturbs my home shall be lost in the darkness forever.”

Since then, travelers had reported strange lights, voices, and shadowy figures. Some had even disappeared. But when the tunnel construction started, the disturbances intensified.

The Final Horror: A Journalist’s Encounter

Despite the warnings, a young journalist named Riya Sen from Delhi decided to investigate. On January 18, 2025, she entered the tunnel with her cameraman.

Hours later, her camera was recovered, but she was missing.

The footage showed Riya walking inside, narrating confidently. As she ventured deeper, whispers began to echo. The shadows on the walls moved unnaturally, shifting in ways that defied logic.

Then, the camera suddenly fell to the ground. The last thing recorded was Riya screaming, “No! Let me go!” before vanishing into the dark.

Her body was never found.

The Tunnel Remains Sealed

After Riya’s disappearance, the government permanently sealed the Brahmakund Tunnel. They placed warning signs:

“DANGER! ENTRY STRICTLY PROHIBITED.”

But even today, locals report eerie sounds near the tunnel at night. Some say they see shadowy figures standing at the entrance, waiting for their next victim.
