Indian Movie RRR won Oscar for ‘Naatu Naatu,’ song. The movie has created history by becoming the first Indian feature film to win an Oscar. The song contested against ‘Applause’ from Tell It Like A Woman, ‘Hold My Hand’ from Top Gun: Maverick, ‘Lift Me’ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and ‘This is Life’ from Everything Everywhere All At Once. The music composed by M.M. Keeravani, and the lyricist Chandrabose, collected the award. Keeravani delivered his endorsement speech in the formation of a re-written Carpenters song.

He said, “I grew up listening to The Carpenters and now here I am with the Oscars. There was only one wish on my mind, so was Rajamouli’s and our families… ‘RRR’ has to win… Pride of every Indian… It must set me on the top of the world,” Keeravani said in tune to The Carpenters’ 1970s song hTop of the World.“

The victory makes Naatu Naatu song as the first song from an Indian origin to win an Oscar. Earlier, in Oscar ceremony ‘Naatu Naatu’ song singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava gave a celestial concert at the ceremony. The performance got them a standing ovation. Previously, this song won the Golden Globe for best song. The victory proved that the RRR the first Indian film to win a Golden Globe. The music is composed by music director MM Keeravaani and descanted by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. The song lyrics by Chandrabose.

The movie is based on the inspire lives of freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film was set back in the 1920, where India is fighting for independence against British. The movie cast Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and others.
