Langya Virus: New Infection found in China, know its symptoms

Langya Virus: The world is still suffering from COVID 19 and Monkeypox. Now China is coming up with a new infection and the new zoonotic virus is named ‘Langya Virus. According to the reports, China has registered 35 cases of the new Henipavirus threat officially, and unofficially they are more people are got infected with this new virus. The virus is said to be spreading from animals. Currently, health officials are collecting throat samples from patients with symptoms and confirming the virus presence. In medical reports, it showed that the patients have contact with animals. Some professionals acknowledge that it can be deadly virus and that may cause serious health problems. If this disease spreads among humans, then it can kill people just like COVID 19.

What is Langya Virus?

The new Henipavirus infection is another sign of threat to cause pandemic. In 2019, its first case was registered in China. According to medical researchers from Beijing Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology conducted a study on the Langya virus and found traces of shrews, goats, and dogs in them. However, a few studies show that the Langya virus is from the same family as the Nipah virus, which spreads from bats. World Health Organization (WHO) has listed the Nipah virus in the list of suspected pandemics which is so deadly.
